About

Hi, my name is Francesca. I am an independent make-up artist, cosplay and prop maker with a passion for art and cinema.

I’ve been into the artistic world since I was very young. Coming from a family of handcrafters, I’ve always loved creating things on my own, taking inspiration from the surrounding. I used to draw a lot, decorating stuff or simply creating accessories and dresses for my dolls. I’ve always loved how limitless the art world was, mixing different styles or materials, to create something personal and unique.

While I’ve always been drawing, I’ve never really been into make-up until 2012, during my experience as an au-pair in London, United Kingdom. During those six months I’ve been able to collect a tremendous amount of adventures, like meeting my favourite film director: Tim Burton. I was very shy and panicked quite a bit while talking to him, but I took that as a sign to push myself into something new that could express my artistic side.

The next year, I was studying make-up at the European school Beauty Center of Milan. During this year-long course, the exams we had to pass made me re-discover the passion for costume making: cosplaying was just a step further from that.  After the final exam, I started working as a make-up artist for short films and exploring how I could merge my dream job with my other passion.

Although I wished to purse that path with all my heart, I had to put aside the full-time make-up artist career to help my family in a better way. This didn’t stop me from making cosplays, it actually helped me grow my skills to work with fabrics, foam and worbla. This passion accompanied me during stressful and dark times, keeping me on track and always looking to create something new.

Now that I live in an amazingly creative environment, also thanks to my fiancé, I want to share my knowledge and my artistic skills with others to help them grow their own passions.
